Spring fashion never ceases to amaze me. Every year, I try to plan one big shopping trip complete with inspiration boards, shopping wish list, and my list of must-shop stores. This month’s budding trends are all ones that I am excited to try.
In April, think bright, funky and simple. Check out my five favorites for the month!
Floral, as I’m sure you MOVErs and shakers already know, is major this spring. Try the print on a ball cap from ASOS and kill two trends with one stone!
I cannot get the image of Karlie Kloss’s double cuffed look from the Michael Kors Spring ’13 runway out of my mind. Take date night or girls-night-out to a high-fashion level in a very inexpensive way by doubling up on these sculpted gold cuffs from F21. Pair with a black romper (dare to do cut-outs) and a sleek bun and walk your own catwalk this month!
Keep both hands free while perusing sample sales, grabbing two lattes, (one for you and one for your S.O.), or hitting up the weekly farmers’ market. I am lusting for this leather sack from Madewell.
Even though Julia Robert’s most iconic look from Pretty Woman is the red dress, it is the red short suit she dons poolside which holds a special place in my heart. To no surprise, I jumped on the opportunity to hunt for the perfect short suit for the spring/summer seasons. There is something so fun about the neon and rhinestone accents on this neutral tie-dye version from Top Shop (Click here and here for the separates.)
Sounds a little crazy? Ease into the trend by pairing a white blazer with your favorite white shorts and colorful flats. Done and done!
The nail art trend is at an all-time high this year, but really stand out this Spring with a matching mani/pedi in the uber trendy, Palm Springs-inspired shade “Groove is in the Heart” by Deborah Lippmann (Its name would make anyone want to dance!). If you need a boost, add a touch of glitter for a little pizzaz!
Bloom: “A flourishing, healthy condition; the time or period of greatest beauty and artistry.” This month we’re celebrating all things spring and ‘April-showering’ you with beauty and joy.
