When I think of fall, I think of the leaves changing colors, warm pumpkin spice lattes, cozy scarves and of course, the perfect pair of fall boots.
It’s always been a challenge for me to find that perfect pair of boots. Will I ever wear them? Did I spend too much money? Will they be out of style next season? So after scouring the web, I narrowed down my top choices. They’re a bit diverse in style, but I wanted to provide myself (and you!) with different choices. I hope one of these will spark some inspiration for you to buy a pair of your own. For more fall boots, check out my Pinterest board here.
Why: If you’re looking to add a little rustic flair to your closet, definitely consider these. I love the lighter palette of this boot because it’s so seasonally versatile. I think it’s important to have a boot that makes you feel sexy and confident but also can be dressed down which is why I think this is my favorite of the bunch.
With What? Pair with a boho blouse and your favorite pair of jean cut-offs for a pre-fall day, or with dark denim skinny jeans and a cozy sweater for a deliciously brisk night.

Why: Afraid of your favorite vintage pair falling apart? Need to add some edge to your wardrobe but don’t know where to start? Then opt for these gems. I love these adorable moto-esque boots because they are seasonally versatile and add effortless edge to any ensemble.
With What? You don’t have to wear a leather jacket to make these work. These look absolutely adorable with an ultra feminine, flowy dress or with leggings or jeans for a more casual look.

Why: I’m currently obsessing over chestnut boots for fall! Perhaps it’s because they remind me of autumn’s color scheme or the fact that they seem to match with everything. I just can’t get enough. I love how clean these Jeffrey Cambells look. Not only do they work for both fall and spring, but they are simple in design. If booties work for you, then these are definitely your fall staple.
With What? Whether you opt for the black or chestnut, these will go with just about anything: shorts, skinny jeans, boyfriend jeans, flares, tights, sundresses, knit dresses… I could go on!

Why: Everyone needs a pair of Fryes. Men, women, …children! No, but really. These boots will last you a lifetime. Yes, they are pricey but they are not only timeless, they are durable. So if you are looking for a great investment piece, these are definitely your best best.
With What: If you are a fan of jeans, you are in luck. Fryes are literally made to look perfect with jeans. Pair with your favorite pair of blues or, to make things more interesting, throw on an oversized dress sweater with black tights and voila! Your Fryes just became more chic.

Why: This pair of booties are my ideal go-to black pair of boots. They are simple, effortlessly sleek and a great investment pair. I love the curved edge of the heel which gives it a more modern feel, and how the bootie showcases the ankle. I’m not a huge fan of tall black boots for fall, (unless you are going for a killer heel and quality leather), so these are great for a night out or a day in the city.
With What: Pair with your favorite pair of eggplant or mustard tights for fall or add some unpredictable edge to a traditional cut dress and pair these with anything with a peplum.
