The Great Gatsby

I don’t know about you, but I’ve been waiting for this week ever since it was announced that The Great Gatsby was being turned into a big luscious, ridiculously expensive studio film, courtesy of Baz Luhrmann. (It’s one of my all time favorite books–quick peek into just how obsessed I am: My dog’s name is Gatsby.) The movie opens May 10th, and while I admit I’m not entirely sold yet on how extravagant this interpretation seems to be, you could certainly never call this movie a wallflower. It promises to be a huge theater-going event and I, for one, cannot get all those jazz age images to stop swimming in my head at night. Take a look at what’s currently inspiring me, get yourself excited for some Prohibition-era eye candy, and follow my Gatsby the Great Pinterest board for more feathers, fringe and finger-waves!

Wow , i can’t wait for this movie, too! I want to read the book, too. By the way i saw you on ‘jane by design’ and i think you were awesome. It is sad that they didn’t do another season of it.
