One Stop Holiday Shopping

Every year, it’s my goal to holiday shop as simply and efficiently as possible. I like to maximize my time spent shopping by knocking out as much of my gift list in as few stores as possible. That means fewer parking spaces to search for, fewer aisles to troll, and fewer lines to stand in, all of which I credit to saving my sanity. So obviously, Target is a no-brainer when it comes to holiday shopping. You’re already buying toilet paper. Why not take a few more minutes to browse gift possibilities while stocking up on household supplies?

I’m always excited to give Christmas gifts to my five nieces and nephews. Despite how different they each are, it’s super easy to find something for everyone, (including myself, ahem, Nate Berkus’s new line!) at Target. Here’s what I’m picking up for the kiddos on my list this year:

1. Schoenhut Electric Guitar

My 11-year-old nephew possesses impressive musical talent. He’s been schooled in piano, but I can tell he’s itching to pick up an axe and learn how to shred.

2. Maybelline “Back to School” Makeup

My oldest niece just turned thirteen last week, (GASP), and has been given the green light to start dabbling in makeup. I remember so clearly the first cosmetics I used when I was her age, and how excited I was about them. I love this fresh and pretty palette which will compliment her already glowing skin.

3. Octonouts Play Set

This show was playing on loop over Thanksgiving weekend, my four-year-old nephew and my two-year-old son were glued to the screen. Now they can act out underwater animal rescues together and leave the television dark.

4. Tee Pee Tent

A place of solitude and quite is pretty rare when you’re the middle child with two siblings on either side. This tent will be the perfect escape for my sweet 9-year-old nephew.

5. Sequined Ballet Flats

As sparkly as these shoes are, they stand no chance of outshining my bigger-than-life 7-year-old niece. That girl has a bold and sometimes spicy personality, and these shoes are surely just her style.

The better question would be what don’t I buy from Target??? My favorite thing we’ve bought this year was a big silver tray that my husband is giving me… We also got our son his first ornament – a Santa hat wearing Darth Vader. And a lot more things…sheets, weights, kitchen stuff, clothes, toys…I did a lot of Christmas shopping there.
