Aith summer dancing just out of reach, in May I find myself more appreciative of the lighter things in life. My wedding was in May, (and I loved my wedding!), so the light this time of year always makes me feel nostalgic and romantic. On my walks around my neighborhood, I notice new green leaves on the oak trees that remind me of the branches under which I said my vows. Peonies, (my bouquet flower), burst into the local markets with all their shameless splendor and delicate bursts of joyful color. This week I’ve been noticing bits of bird nests on the grass; the little ones they used to house now grown enough to fly away. My own little bird is tucked away safely in his nest as I write this, but the day that he’ll spread his wings is coming sooner than I could have imagined. I’m planning his second birthday party already, a simple celebration full of the things my little boy loves best.
We’ve planned our content this month as a celebration of, well, celebrations! We’re bringing you a feminine jewel-toned backyard afternoon tea, a wedding party overflowing with flowers, a rustic brunch with the most insane cocktails you’ve ever laid eyes on, and our first video! Most importantly, we’re sharing our own tips and tricks that busy working women like us use to throw memorable bashes with minimal effort. Follow our Petit Parties and Entertaining Pinterest boards for celebration inspiration all year long.
Do you have anything coming up that you’ll be celebrating?
