If friends’ status updates on Facebook are any indication, it seems like a lot of us are having a hard time lately. (Hello, Mercury in retrograde!). I don’t know about you, but lately to me, life seems like a metaphorical downpour of one difficult situation after another.
Here in Southern California, the general reaction to downpours of actual rain seems to be one of panic or doom and gloom. We’re all thinking about the extra difficulty slick roads will bring to our morning commutes, the fact that we still haven’t managed to check off ‘buy an umbrella’ from our never-ending to-do lists or we were simply looking forward to a day at the park that’s gone kaput. During this typically waterlogged month, we thought it might help us change our perspective on life’s negatives if the Move LifeStyle team created some beautiful content focused on this seasonally appropriate subject for springtime: Rain.
As we’ve explored the good and bad side of life’s downpours, behind the scenes here at Move we’ve been loving this Dolly Parton quote: “The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you’ve gotta put up with the rain.” Rain can be seen as dark and threatening or as cleansing and life-renewing; it’s all in the way you spin it. So we’ll start you off right with a bright and sunny outlook on our March forecast.
PS: We hope you enjoyed our February ‘Love’ edition of Move !
(Some of our best-loved posts: Briana Lane got dolled up for Valentine’s Day, Jenna Hamel brought us a chic and celebratory February Trend Report, and amazing Girl Friday dancer and mama Keesha Beckford let us in on her secrets.)
