As much as I love mailing cards and thank-you notes, invitations are by far my favorite things to send. I'm excited by the texture and weight of the cardstock, the colorful ink, the artful fonts and designs. The month of May marks the beginning of what I like to call 'celebration season,' kicking off with Mother's Day and graduation, then turns the page to busy summer calendars often bearing pool parties, al fresco dinners, beach barbecues weddings, and of course, the Fourth of July. These joyous occasions call for equally fun invitations.

My childhood friends and I have a monthly "girls night" that always follows the same tried and true formula: incessantly gabbing while preparing a simple meal, imbibing copious amounts of ever-present Champagne in between laughs, and dishing out life updates over the dining table. These evenings amongst dear friends are to be truly treasured, especially when it happens to be a member of our supper club's birthday.
Spring hues make me happy. As the weather warms, bold winter colors fade away to reveal the delicate, playful shades of springtime. I want to daydream in breezy blues, to sip sparkling wine in lemon yellow, to lose myself in the pages of a book in cloud-like whites. Currently, I'm particularly drawn toward cool, calm mints, juxtaposed by warm, soft peach tones.
